Install Validera
Two install paths, depending on what your IT team prefers. Either way you'll be running in under five minutes.
Before you start: your team admin should already have added you in the Validera dashboard with your work Google email. If they haven't, ask them to add you before installing — the extension uses your email to find your team automatically.
Option 1: Install from the Chrome Web Store (recommended for individuals)
- Open Google Chrome and sign in with your work Google account. The extension recognises that account at sign-in, so it has to be the email your admin added.
- Open the install link your admin sent you. (It's an unlisted Chrome Web Store URL — not searchable, only people with the link can find it.)
- Click Add to Chrome. Chrome will show a permissions dialog listing the sites the extension reads. Click Add extension.
- Pin the Validera icon to the Chrome toolbar (puzzle-piece menu → pin Validera) so you can see it on every page.
- Click the Validera icon and click Sign in. The extension reads your signed-in Google profile email and exchanges it with our backend for your team config. If your email matches an agent your admin added, you're connected. If not, you'll see an error pointing back to your admin.
Option 2: Force-install via Google Workspace (recommended for teams)
If your organisation uses Google Workspace, an IT admin can push Validera to all members of a Workspace OU (organisational unit) so it installs automatically and can't be removed by end users.
- In the Google Workspace admin console, go to Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers.
- Select the OU you want Validera installed for. Click the yellow + in the bottom-right and choose Add Chrome app or extension by ID.
- Paste the Validera extension ID supplied by your Validera contact. Set the install policy to Force install.
- Save. Chrome will install Validera on every signed-in browser in that OU within a few minutes.
- Each agent should still need to click Sign in in the extension popup the first time, so the extension can read their email and fetch their team config.
Troubleshooting
"No active agent matches this email"
The Google account you're signed in with doesn't match any agent your admin has added. Two fixes:
- Sign out of your personal Google account and sign in with your work account, then click Sign in again in the extension.
- Or ask your admin to confirm your email is added in the Validera dashboard exactly as it appears in Google Workspace.
The Validera badge doesn't appear on a booking page
- Check the page is on a supported booking platform. The current platform list is shown in the extension popup.
- Reload the page after the extension has signed in.
- If the badge still doesn't appear, send the URL of the page to feedback@validera.io.
Extension shows the right email but no team
This usually means your team admin has added you, but the dashboard's tenant or workflow configuration isn't quite right. Forward the error message to your admin, who should email support@validera.io with the agent ID.
